And I'm pretty exhausted, but things went over pretty smoothly, and I've got a comfy hotel bed waiting for me in a few minutes :]

もうすく日本に行こう。
...or "soon I'll be going to Japan."
At the end of this incredibly long month, on August 30th, I'll be hopping on a 15-hour flight to the Land of the Rising Sun. Hikone, Shiga prefecture (click for a map of Hikone) will be my home for nearly 4 months, where I'll be studying at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities. The dorm I'm staying in is right on the shore of Lake Biwa, and Hikone is about an hour from Kyoto, the old capital.
Though I'm sure I'll be very, very busy with studying, traveling, stumbling about with my elementary-school vocabulary, and being unable to recognize anything I'm eating, I'll be posting my thoughts, pictures, and (possibly) videos here on this blog for everyone to see.
